(077/MIgra) Micranurida granulata (Agrell, 1943)

Harold Gough recorded this species from Cheshire and the Lake District and his figures (Gough 1978) leave little doubt as to its identity. However, no current researcher has been able to examine any specimens. Micranurida granulata is a small white species (up to 0.7 mm in length) with a very broad body shape. There is a tiny vestigial furca present ventrally on abd4. The eyes have 3+3 pigmented ocelli and the post-antennal organ is circular with between 9 and 13 vesicles. There are so few records that it is impossible to come to any conclusions regarding its distribution.
